I'm generally OK with the patch so far, but then I run into this when one of my ships tries to undock:
Quote: For a ship to be in a condition suitable for undocking requires that there are no modules fitted which require more power than the ship can provide, whether they are online or not.
The total power output of your ship is only 79.9 but your modules require 95.0 power units. Please unfit enough modules to rectify this situation.
This is UTTERLY pointless IMO. Why the heck shouldn't a ship be able to undock if it has some deactivated modules on it? It's not like you'd be able to turn them on later anyway.
I'm fine with a warning that says "you have a deactivated module that requires more energy than you currently generate to run" popping up and then being allowed to undock, but there's absolutely no reason why this should prevent you from leaving a station at all.
Please drop this prohibition, it's really useless and it adds nothing (other than frustration and annoyance) to the game.

And furthermore, has the Wolf Assault Frigate been screwed over in the patch?
Because before the patch, I had 3 x 250mm Light Prototype Siege Cannon Is, 1 x 250mm Light Gallium I, 1 x Malkuth Assault Missile Launcher I, a Small Shield Booster I, a 1MN Afterburner I, 3 x Reactor Control Unit Is, and 1 x Co-Processor I mounted on it and all those modules were active and it had enough power to run them all at once.
Now it seems that it can't. Has their basic Power or CPU been messed with in the patch? I've got 167.19 CPU and 79.86 Powergrid now (taking into account skills).

Originally by: Kimiko Kawashima i agree... this patch has been utter nonsense... im happy some people like it, but this is becoming unworkable..
I wouldn't go that far (yet) - but this is a bit annoying. (and I like the new font and the new voice too)

Oh, and in the chat window, you got the three little icons in the top right corner that change the 'ID window" on the right of the chat window - I can get the first and the third icon to work, but the middle icon doesn't seem to do anything anymore.

Originally by: Dark Shikari The grid usage of assaults has been massively boosted.
Er, apparently, it's been massively REDUCED here, otherwise I wouldn't have this problem. Unless you mean that equipment mounted on Assault Frigates uses more power than elsewhere (which would be odd)

Originally by: Dark Shikari I meant assault launchers, along with all other launchers, use more grid.
Ohhh. Right, I follow you now. Sorry :).

Can anyone confirm if the Archeology and Hacking skills are actually available in the game yet (and if so, where can you get them)? Because I can't find them anywhere at all.

Originally by: eadbitz I have went through all 12 pages so far and no response from any Dev, ISD, or CCP. You think they care. They have your money, and for alot of us our second life in their pockets........
Let me say congrats to CCP for taking something great and ruining it. Who exactly tested this patch? Are you guys looking for a backlash against yourselves? After all is said and done it is the players that make the game possible. If nobody played you would not make money, so how about you guys listen to us "The Players" instead of a couple people who cry about getting blown up in a frigate by a bs. DUH!!! As I posted earlier, you guys need to outsource your weapon design idea to an american. It took me over 100 inferno torps to kill a frigate in 0.0. WTF!!! The most primitive weapon to come from iceland was a club and spear from the good ol' vikings. I hate to sound like I'm on the rag but I feel as though i have wasted all my time training and paying money for you to rob me blind.
Oh stop whining. It's only been a few hours since the patch and you expect everything to be perfect?
And did you not read the patch notes about how missiles work differently now? Either get used to it, or leave.
I'd imagine the Devs etc are reading what we have to say and taking note. I bloody hate it when people act like they have the right to tell the developers what to do with the game and they expect them to drop everything and do it just because you subscribe to it. Doesn't work like that I'm afraid. If you have something constructive to say to them they'll probably listen and do something, but ranting off like you did won't make you any friends.

Originally by: Bedrock System Bug: Also, in system Auga, system Kourmonen is not listed as a Stargate to warp to in the drop down menu. (Probably because its to a new Region)
This might not be a bug - some regions you just can't get to anymore. Before the patch I could go Gelfiven > Teonusude > Magiko > Onga > Lustrevik > Yulai. Now I can't - the Lustrevik > Yulai link has gone and I have to do another 10 jumps or so to get to Yulai now. The Yulai stargate is no longer shown on the 'warp to' menu while in Lustrevik also (I just checked).

Edited by: Dr Ganymede on 06/07/2005 08:49:52 OK, somewhat annoying problem here.
On the Infiltrated Outpost mission, you get sent to a couple of regions with bloody huge drone structures in them. While they look damn impressive, it becomes impossible to rotate the view around the ship because anywhere you click to drag the view around turns out to be in the structures' space, and instead you end up getting that little 'wheel of icons'. The only way around this is to zoom out far enough to be able to click empty space, which is usually so far away you can't even see your ship anymore. This makes it a bit hard to manage my views in combat!
Not sure how to get around this (other than how I just described, which isn't ideal).

Hit ESC, go to generic tab, click expand action menu with middle button. Fixed :)
EDIT: Never mind. Figured it out :)

A minor issue, but when I fire up EVE I see a pretty Cold War splash screen, but the screen where you enter login/password still says "Eve Exodus". Shouldn't that say Cold War too?
